  • Litigation Legal Secretary (Washington, DC)

Requirements: Minimum of (5) years Legal Secretarial and Litigation experience in a law firm. Proficient in the use of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

This position is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and word processing duties while exercising judgment over work priorities with minimal supervision. Strong legal and administrative skills are essential, as well as the ability to multi-task and perform well under strict deadlines. Additional responsibilities include, preparation and submission of ECF filings, handling of general administrative duties such as travel arrangements, calendaring, expense reconciliation, time entry, meeting coordination with efficiency and in a proactive manner. Must have knowledge of citation/court rules and litigation procedures. Assist with other duties as assigned.

The candidate must be a team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with others, highly organized, self-starter and extremely detailed oriented. Must be flexible to handle changing priorities, proactive, resourceful and efficient demonstrating a high level of professionalism. Ability to maintain and understand the attorney-client relationship is crucial in this role.

  • Paralegal - Litigation (Washington, DC)

Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree plus: (5) years of Litigation experience.

Hausfeld, seeks a Litigation Paralegal to become an integral part of its busy but congenial Washington D.C. practice.   • Internship - Product Liability

Hausfeld is seeking an Intern to support our growing Environmental & Product Liability
department. The successful applicant will be working closely with leading Partners in the area. The work will be innovative, cutting-edge and often have an international dimension. The team’s caseload currently includes group actions involving allegedly defective breast implants and and ongoing investigation with a high profile NGO concerning personal injury and air pollution.

You will also be assisting with high-profile litigation on behalf of a number of elite gymnasts
including Olympians, who allege they were subjected to a physical and psychological abuse
when they were training and competing. The claims are being pursued against British
Gymnastics and have been reported in the national press.

During the internship, you will be actively involved in our case teams, working with Associates
and Partners across the practice and, at times, across our offices in Europe and the USA. As a
claimant-focused litigation boutique, our teams are lean and often involved in complex disputes against well-resourced defendants. As a result, you will be encouraged and, indeed, required to take on responsibility from the outset – with appropriate supervision.
