Hausfeld is seeking applications for 2027 summer associates from second- or third-year law students to work as an integral part of its Washington, DC practice. This position offers the opportunity for extremely substantive, interesting, and challenging work with recognized leaders in the plaintiffs’ bar. With more than 80 lawyers in the US, and more than 70 in Europe, the majority of whom work in antitrust, our expertise is unrivaled. In addition to antitrust, Hausfeld attorneys litigate mass torts, environmental threats, consumer protection, data breach, sports law and human rights cases. Ideal candidates will have exceptional legal research and writing skills, and relevant background or interest in the firm’s practice areas. Hausfeld is currently seeking Discovery Project Attorneys to support ongoing document review efforts. Discovery Project Attorneys are primarily responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and coding documents produced in discovery.
Candidates must be licensed and in good standing. Two to three years of prior document review experience is required. Candidates must hold a JD from an accredited law school; LLM degrees will not be accepted in lieu of a JD.
Attorneys must be licensed to practice in and reside in one of the following states:
- Arizona
- Florida
- South Carolina
The Discovery Project Attorney position is part-time, up to 19 hours per week. Hours may vary depending on case volume and deadlines. This position is fully remote and is not eligible for firm-sponsored benefits.
The salary range for this position is $45.00 to $65.00 per hour, based on experience.
The Temporary Conflicts Specialist works with the US Conflicts and Compliance Partner and the Managing Partners in Germany and England to check potential conflicts of interest on a global basis (in tandem with a Conflicts Specialist in England); research potential clients and related entities; manage existing conflicts database; draft and implement information barriers and ensure compliance; answer conflicts-related questions internally; brief new attorney hires on Hausfeld’s conflicts system; and evaluate new software applications to streamline conflicts processes. This role is principally focused on the day-to-day processing of various types of conflict checks (new clients, new matters, pitches, etc.), to ensure that requests are being handled properly and with prompt turn-around time and clear communication. This includes managing the Intapp conflict check queue and email requests.
This temporary position will provide leave coverage and is expected to last approximately four (4) months.
The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services firm evaluating client conflicts, and a bachelor’s degree. They must have outstanding attention to detail, strong organizational, teamwork and communication skills (written and oral), a demonstrated ability to propose ideas and solutions, listen actively, take initiative, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. They must have superior judgment and the ability to resolve conflicts and issues independently and professionally with a high degree of discretion and a demonstrated ability to protect and maintain confidential and sensitive information. They must have strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, highly efficient time management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. They must be self-motivated and effective in a team setting and individually and must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Proficiency and experience with Intapp required.
The bi-weekly salary for this position ranges between $3,076.92 and $4,038.46.

This position supports our San Francisco office. The Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant/Junior Paralegal is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and word-processing duties while exercising judgment in managing work priorities with minimal supervision. Strong legal and administrative skills are essential, as well as the ability to multitask and perform well under strict deadlines. This role also includes responsibilities for junior paralegal projects.
Additional responsibilities include preparation and submission of ECF filings, and handling general administrative duties such as travel arrangements, calendaring, expense reconciliation, time entry, and meeting coordination, with efficiency and proactivity.
A minimum of three (3) years of legal secretarial and administrative experience is required. Prior knowledge of citation/court rules and litigation procedures is preferred but not required. A paralegal certificate is preferred but not required.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
The candidate must be a team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with others, highly organized, a self-starter, and extremely detail-oriented. Must be flexible to handle changing priorities, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, demonstrating a high level of professionalism. The ability to maintain and understand the attorney-client relationship is crucial in this role.
