Hausfeld is seeking applications for 2027 summer associates from second- or third-year law students to work as an integral part of its Washington, DC practice. This position offers the opportunity for extremely substantive, interesting, and challenging work with recognized leaders in the plaintiffs’ bar. With more than 80 lawyers in the US, and more than 70 in Europe, the majority of whom work in antitrust, our expertise is unrivaled. In addition to antitrust, Hausfeld attorneys litigate mass torts, environmental threats, consumer protection, data breach, sports law and human rights cases. Our diverse team of attorneys has been appointed by federal courts to lead the nation’s most complex class actions.
Ideal candidates will have exceptional legal research and writing skills, and relevant background or interest in the firm’s practice areas. We are looking for candidates who are team players, self-starters, highly organized, and able to juggle multiple responsibilities. Hausfeld is currently seeking Discovery Project Attorneys to support ongoing document review efforts. Discovery Project Attorneys are primarily responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and coding documents produced in discovery.
Candidates must be licensed and in good standing. Two to three years of prior document review experience is required. Candidates must hold a JD from an accredited law school; LLM degrees will not be accepted in lieu of a JD.
Attorneys must be licensed to practice in and reside in one of the following states:
- Arizona
- Florida
- South Carolina
The Discovery Project Attorney position is part-time, up to 19 hours per week. Hours may vary depending on case volume and deadlines. This position is fully remote and is not eligible for firm-sponsored benefits.
The salary range for this position is $45.00 to $65.00 per hour, based on experience.

Fellows will work closely with firm founder and Chair Emeritus, Michael Hausfeld in developing strategies and pursuing litigation to advance these causes. This fellowship offers experience writing articles, researching, and potential client contact.
Mr. Hausfeld is widely recognized as one of the top civil litigators in the United States and for his groundbreaking results in human rights law. Among his notable work, he successfully represented the Republic of Poland, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Ukraine and the Russian Federation on issues of slave and forced labor for both Jewish and non-Jewish victims of Nazi persecution. He has represented individuals and NGOs in litigation alleging liability for aiding and abetting the South African system of apartheid.
In 2019, Mr. Hausfeld, with co-counsel Earthjustice, represented 16 children from around the world, including Greta Thunberg and Alexandria Villasenor, in a complaint filed before the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, alleging violations of children's rights to life, health, and culture by five members of the G20 whose failure to reduce carbon emissions is perpetuating climate change. On May 26, 2023, building on the foundation laid by Hausfeld’s work with child activists, during the closing remarks for the Spring 2023 session, UN CRC Committee Chair Ann Skelton announced that the Committee has adopted a General Comment on Children's Rights and the Environment with a Special Focus on Climate Change (General Comment No. 26) - an authoritative guidance on how children's rights are violated by the environmental crisis and what governments and others must do to uphold these rights.
The salary for this one-year Fellowship is $100,000. Fellows are eligible for Hausfeld’s comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k), firm sponsored disability and life insurance, and wellbeing programs.
