Hausfeld is seeking applications for 2027 summer associates from second- or third-year law students to work as an integral part of its Washington, DC practice. This position offers the opportunity for extremely substantive, interesting, and challenging work with recognized leaders in the plaintiffs’ bar. With more than 80 lawyers in the US, and more than 70 in Europe, the majority of whom work in antitrust, our expertise is unrivaled. In addition to antitrust, Hausfeld attorneys litigate mass torts, environmental threats, consumer protection, data breach, sports law and human rights cases. Our diverse team of attorneys has been appointed by federal courts to lead the nation’s most complex class actions.
Ideal candidates will have exceptional legal research and writing skills, and relevant background or interest in the firm’s practice areas. We are looking for candidates who are team players, self-starters, highly organized, and able to juggle multiple responsibilities. Hausfeld's 1L Diversity Fellowship program provides a unique summer employment opportunity for exceptional first-year law students who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). Fellows are awarded a spot in the firm’s summer associate program in Washington D.C., and a $10,000 scholarship towards their 2L academic year. Hausfeld is currently seeking Staff Attorneys for the firm’s Washington, DC, San Francisco, Philadelphia or New York office. Staff Attorneys are primarily responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and coding documents produced in discovery. Staff attorneys may also conduct legal and factual research, draft memos, help prepare for depositions, and assist with other discovery-related tasks.
Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in the District of Columbia, California, Pennsylvania or New York (or eligible for admission). Prior document review and/or litigation experience is a plus, but not required. Candidates must hold a JD from an accredited law school; LLM degrees will not be accepted in lieu of a JD.
Staff Attorney positions are full-time positions. Staff Attorneys work a hybrid schedule and are encouraged to work in the office two days per week.
