Times Best Law Firms 2023 commends Hausfeld for Commercial Disputes Resolution
As part of their annual ‘Best Law Firms 2023’ publication, the Times commended Hausfeld as one of the Top 250 best legal practices for business, public and private-client law in England and Wales. We were lauded for our work in the Commercial Dispute Resolution category.
For the second year running, we were recognised among other leading top tier firms, for our work acting on collective redress as well as litigating several high-profile and high-value matters, most notably the £175 million Trappit v American Express Europe case regarding breach of confidence and copyright, and a £20 million arbitration in the aerospace industry.
“Hausfeld continues to pioneer collective redress mechanisms in the UK. It has seven group actions live, including claims against Google, Qualcomm, Apple, YouTube, Marriott, and Facebook. Hausfeld has acted in disputes across its practice areas, including competition, commercial and financial, human rights, environment, and technology. It continues to represent 37 gymnasts bringing abuse allegations against British Gymnastics.
It also uses the law to fight climate change, intervening for Save the Children before the European Court of Human Rights in a case brought by 6 Portuguese children and young people against 33 European countries, including the UK. They argue that those nations’ failure to adequately combat the climate crisis is breaching their human rights.”
