Hausfeld wins ‘Dispute Resolution Team of the Year’ at LexisNexis Legal Awards 2024
Hausfeld scooped the coveted ‘Disputes Resolution Team of the Year’ and came highly commended in the ‘Diversity and Inclusion’ category. With these awards, LexisNexis sets out to celebrate the ‘exceptional achievements, unwavering commitment to justice, and groundbreaking contributions to the legal realm’.
Dispute Resolution Team of the Year
During 2023 our competition, commercial and environmental disputes teams achieved several highlights: they launched 4 opt-out collective actions in the Competition Appeal Tribunal against Google, Apple and Amazon; achieved legal history by their request to consolidate two competing multi-billion-pound claims in the ad tech sector against Google, which the CAT approved; won permission for the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Fair Business Banking to proceed with its judicial review of the FCA’s decision not to extend the IRHP redress scheme; and intervened on a pro bono basis before the Supreme Court on behalf of ELF in major environmental law proceedings in the in the high profile Manchester Shipping Canal case. We differ from traditional ‘plaintiff firms’ in that we succeeded in expanding our commercial and arbitration work outside group litigation, more particularly throughout 2023, we expanded into the sector of aviation and insurance.
Hausfeld has a wide-ranging portfolio that includes high-profile cases and groundbreaking actions against government institutions and global corporations.

Diversity and Inclusion
DEI is an intrinsic part of the Hausfeld DNA - and has been since our launch 15 years ago. We are proud of a wide raft of projects which came to fruition during 2023: working with Rare’s Vantage platform (underpinned by Rare's pioneering Contextual Recruitment System) which allows us to identify and connect directly with exceptional candidates we might otherwise miss; advancing DEI through our casework and introducing a raft of initiatives redefining workplace norms as part of an extensive review to enhance our employees’ well-being and work-life balance in a supportive environment, to mention but a few. This is in addition to the many initiatives we run throughout the year: fundraising towards the London Legal Support Trust; our annual Christmas Charity chosen by the team; Black History walks; a Southern Heritage panel; the King’s College Springboard Scheme; book clubs discussing books purchased for employees around themes of Black Lives Matter, racial justice, feminism, transgender, unconscious bias, bias against women, to facilitate conversations around the action we each can take to constantly improve our environment.
Their dedication to upholding important issues is evident in every aspect of their work. Through thought leadership, dynamic management, and a diverse range of claims, they continue to shape the landscape of dispute resolution.
