The prestigious Law Society Awards 2021 nominated Hausfeld as a finalist in the ‘Medium Law Firm of the Year’ category open to firms with five to 29 partners. The awards celebrate ‘Excellence in Law’ and are among the highest accolade for law firms in England and Wales.
Anthony Maton, Managing Partner of Hausfeld in London and Global Vice-Chair of the firm said:
“Despite the difficult circumstances posed by the pandemic, our commitment to justice through targeted test cases, collective redress and pro-bono efforts did not waver during 2020/21. We announced 9 group actions since January 2020, potentially offering 80+ million people a remedy for harm suffered. We brought climate change litigation on a pro bono basis and also intervened in some of the most high-profile litigation in recent years, including for Which? in the Merricks Supreme Court hearing and for Save the Children in Duarte Agostinho before the ECHR.”
“This nomination is dedicated to all our staff and clients who made this happen. We extend a warm congratulations to all other shortlisted firms across all categories.”
Law Society of England and Wales President I. Stephanie Boyce said:
“Congratulations to all those who have been shortlisted. After an extraordinary year, it has never been more important to celebrate the outstanding work of our profession.” and reflected further: “As the country emerges from the pandemic, solicitors will be there every step of the way to help people and businesses get back on their feet and ensure access to justice and the rule of law.”
