KlimaSeniorinnen: one year on
On Wednesday 2nd July, Hausfeld and Legal Voices for the Future will co-host a hybrid event on the topic of KlimaSeniorinnen: one year on.
The session will explore the learnings and strategies in human rights-based climate litigation in the aftermath of the landmark ECtHR ruling in April 2024 on the KlimaSeniorinnen case. It will be led by Hausfeld Associates Ginevra Bicciolo, Giulia Trojano and Patrick Kenny, who will take us through the impact of the judgment on the climate litigation landscape at the ECtHR, EU, international, and domestic levels, key developments since the judgment, and practical learnings for future strategic climate litigation. They will be joined by Marc Willers KC from Garden Court Chambers and Cassie Roddy Mullineaux at Global Legal Action Network.
The event will include a creative content discussion, where members have the opportunity to break out into small groups to discuss a piece of creative work that relates to the session. The discussion will focus on climate activism.
