Hausfeld highly commended at the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards Europe 2026

Hausfeld was highly commended in the ‘Innovative Lawyers in Disputes’ category at the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Awards Europe 2026 for its work on the landmark Kent v Apple collective action.

The recognition celebrates the innovative legal strategy behind a case that broke new ground for the UK collective actions regime.

Brought by Dr Rachael Kent on behalf of millions of UK iPhone and iPad users, the judgment resulted in the possibility of an award of approximately £1.5 billion in damages and became the first UK collective action to succeed at trial. The case is now before the Court of Appeal.

As a standalone claim against one of the world’s leading technology companies, the case required complex competition law and economic analysis, extensive evidence and sustained strategic leadership throughout the proceedings.

This recognition from the Financial Times reflects the groundbreaking work of the entire team and Hausfeld’s continued commitment to pursuing innovative claims that hold powerful defendants to account and shape the development of collective redress in the UK.
