October 13, 2021 (Washington, D.C.) – Today, global litigation firm Hausfeld announced the appointment of partner Reena Gambhir to the new role of U.S. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Partner (“DEI Partner”).
In this position, Reena will lead the execution of the firm’s U.S. diversity strategy as well as ongoing and new initiatives to build a more inclusive culture and embrace a widely diverse workforce. She will continue to build upon the firm’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (“DEI”) in all aspects of its business, including recruiting, hiring, training, leader development, business development, policies and practices. She will also work closely and serve as the key liaison with the firm’s DEI committees in Hausfeld’s European offices.

She also serves on the Pro Bono Committee and Summer Associate Committee. In these positions, Reena plays an important role in hiring lawyers and developing a comprehensive firm DEI strategy. Recently, Reena has led Hausfeld to be one of the inaugural firms to join Diversity Lab’s Mansfield Rule for Midsize Firms, which commits the firm to affirmatively consider a diverse pool of candidates for governance and leadership roles, equity partner promotions, formal client pitches and meetings, and entry-level and lateral hiring. She also spearheaded the firm’s 1L Diversity Fellowship Program.
In addition to chairing the firm’s U.S. DEI Committee, Reena demonstrates her longstanding commitment to these issues in her practice, having worked on several of the firm’s human rights and environmental threats cases. Additionally, her academic background includes undergraduate and graduate work in Critical Race, Gender, and Post-Colonial Studies and Theory.
Brent Landau, Hausfeld’s Global Managing Partner, commented:
“Reena is a passionate, demonstrated champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion. She is perfectly suited to build upon Hausfeld’s longstanding commitment to these issues and to lead us through this critical work.”
Reena added:
“As a first-generation South Asian Woman, I am deeply committed to advancing diversity in the legal profession. We know that by nurturing inclusiveness and by bringing together a diversity of people and experience, our firm produces better results for our clients, the legal industry, and the communities we serve. I am honored to do this work at Hausfeld, a firm where DEI is at its core.”
