Hausfeld joins Diversity Lab’s inaugural ‘Mansfield Rule for Midsize Law Firms’ initiative
Hausfeld is pleased to announce that in partnership with the Diversity Lab, the firm is joining the inaugural midsize Mansfield Rule program, developed for firms with fewer than 100 lawyers in the US. Hausfeld proudly joins 22 other mid-sized firms in this meaningful diversity initiative.
The Mansfield Rule measures whether law firms have affirmatively considered at least 30 percent women, lawyers of color, LGBTQ+ lawyers, and lawyers with disabilities for leadership and governance roles, equity partner promotions, formal client pitches and meetings, and entry-level and lateral hiring. The overall goal of the Mansfield Rule is to increase the representation of diverse lawyers in leadership. The new pilot program for mid-sized firms has requirements tailored for smaller lawyer populations, fewer office locations and leaner firm leadership and governance structures. The certification period will be 18 months, running from September 15, 2020 to March 15, 2022.
Hausfeld Global Managing Partner Brent Landau commented, “We are proud to be a part of this important diversity initiative and continue to be committed to ensuring a diverse and inclusive culture at Hausfeld.”
