ABA Antitrust Law Section’s Third Global Private Litigation Conference

The American Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Section hosted their third annual Global Private Litigation Conference from June 11-12. This marquee event featured a world-class line-up of private plaintiff and defense litigation speakers, as well as government enforcers, economists, corporate counsel, academics, and numerous jurists from around the globe -- all sharing insights into private damages actions, including collective antitrust redress, cross-jurisdictional settlement, and much more.

Nicola Boyle, Competition Partner in Hausfeld’s London office, joined a distinguished group of presenters competing in a mock pageant for lead counsel before a group of esteemed judges from the U.S., UK, Denmark, and The Netherlands. Each team seeking lead position presented before the panel of judges, who provided their critique of what they are looking for in potential lead counsel in important collective action matters.

Hausfeld Chair Emeritus, Michael Hausfeld, was instrumental in starting this event, and Scott Martin, Co-Chair of the firm’s Antitrust practice group, served as a chair for the first two Global Private Litigation conferences in Amsterdam and Berlin. This jam-packed educational experience, and terrific networking opportunity, included some of the liveliest discussions you can have while getting continuing legal education in a day and a half!
