IBA 2023 Paris – Comparative class action regimes - why some work and some don’t

On 1 November 2023, Hausfeld Counsel, Amandine Gueret joined an expert panel to discuss ‘Comparative class action regimes - why some work and some don’t’ at the Annual IBA Conference in Paris.

The panel discussed:

  • how class action regimes are developing around the world in an antitrust context
  • what approach the courts are taking in terms of evidence and disclosure
  • how an effective antitrust class action strategy can be developed to handle concurrent lawsuits in different jurisdictions.

Anne Merminod from Borden Ladner Gervais and Anna Morfey from Ashurst moderated the panel and Amandine was joined by Alejandro Ferreres-Comella from Linklaters, Porfírio Moreira from FPC Legal and Karen Ruback from Grinberg Cordovil Advogados.

Practical arrangements

The IBA Annual Conference Paris was held from 29 October – 3 November 2023.
Amandine spoke on 1 November, 2:30 pm – 3:45 pm at Palais des Congrès.
