TL4 - Competition Collective Actions: Recent Developments in the CAT’s Opt-Out Regime
On 24 April 2026, Hausfeld Partner Lesley Hannah will join an expert panel for a pre-event webinar ahead of the 4th Annual Competition Collective Actions Forum, examining recent developments in the Competition Appeal Tribunal’s opt-out regime.
Lesley will be joined by Boris Bronfentrinker (Willkie Farr & Gallagher) and Edward Coulson (Hogan Lovells) to discuss key legal and procedural issues arising in collective actions. Drawing on their experience across leading claimant and defendant-side cases, the panel will provide insights into developments shaping the current litigation landscape.
Topics will include the first claimant win under the opt-out regime in Kent v Apple, approaches to collective damages distribution, the role of economic experts in the CAT, developments in claim certification, and what lies ahead for opt-out collective actions.
This webinar offers a preview of the themes that will be explored in greater depth at the 4th Annual Competition Collective Actions Forum, taking place on 11 June 2026 at One Great George Street, London.
