The Bar Council - Ukraine law day 2025
On Monday 28th April, The Bar Council will host a one-day legal conference with four panel sessions, designed to bring together Ukrainian and UK lawyers and policy-makers. The event will provide a dedicated space to discuss the latest legal developments relevant to Ukraine and examine the common legal issues likely to arise in cases handled by UK lawyers.
Hausfeld Partner Ned Beale will join Tetyana Nesterchuk from Fountain Court Chambers, Markiyan Klyuchkivsky, Executive Director of the Register of Damage Caused by the Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, Olena Perepelynska from Integrites, Sylvia Tonova from Pinsent Masons and Haylea Campbell from Hogan Lovells to explore the routes towards recovery of losses caused by war.
The session will cover:
- national and international courts (including the European Court of Human Rights)
- international arbitration
- the claims via the international compensation mechanism launched in The Hague
