Daniel Hunt
OVERVIEW
Daniel advises clients on UK and EU competition law, including global antitrust claims and collective actions as well as high-stake commercial litigation.
Expertise
Daniel’s expertise lies in the resolution of contentious antitrust issues. He has been involved in a number of market-leading competition litigations and antitrust investigations in both England and across Europe, having acted on cases before the English Courts (the Competition Appeal Tribunal, High Court, and Court of Appeal) and before the European Courts at first instance and on appeal.
He acts for clients in competition damages claims (including collective actions), investigations by competition and sectoral regulators and has provided counsel on compliance with antitrust law across a range of matters, including horizontal, vertical, and dominance issues. He joins Hausfeld from Freshfields where he acted for a defendant in claims following on from the Europe-wide Trucks cartel.
Closely aligned with the Hausfeld ethos, Daniel also maintains an active pro-bono practice and has acted for NGOs on public interest interventions in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
