Shareholder lawsuit against Bayer over the Monsanto transaction

Hausfeld is suing Bayer on behalf of a US investor. In the lawsuit, Hausfeld claims that Bayer breached ad hoc duties in connection with the Monsanto transaction: Bayer concealed from the capital market that Monsanto was exposed to significant litigation risks from glyphosate lawsuits.

In the meantime, Monsanto has lost several glyphosate lawsuits and Bayer is willing to pay around 10 billion US dollars to settle the glyphosate lawsuits.
