The collective redress landscape on both sides of the Atlantic

On 14th November 2019, London Managing Partner and Hausfeld's Vice-Chair, Anthony Maton, delivered the keynote address at CDR's Competition Litigation Symposium.

Key focus was the development of collective redress mechanisms on both sides of the Atlantic, including Canada. What can this comparison of experiences tell us and what can we predict the landscape will look like in 10 years? In preparation for this address, he canvassed Michael Hausfeld's views and outlined what they believe has been and remains the central issue in anti-trust litigation - namely how litigation systems effectively react to anti-competitive marketwide harm.

In addition, he also reflected on the landscape beyond collective redress and discussed other recent important developments in private enforcement. So how does he see the overall competition landscape developing in the next few years? The full address reveals.
