Made by Many - Giulia Trojano speaks about AI & Checklist Regulation

What can law tell us about the intersection of AI and humanity? As the industry most often deferred to grapple with the many ethical, social, and existential challenges this new technology presents, a whole lot. Giulia Trojano joined the fifth instalment of Rogue Talks as an expert lawyer, together with other technology ethicists, as they explored what changing regulation, governance, and evolving intellectual property rights can tell us not only about artificial intelligence, but about our shifting social and political landscape.

Giulia gave a 20 minute talk (see video below) on AI and “checklist” regulation, focusing on the way in which industry lobbying influences standard setting organisations tasked by the EU under the EU AI Act and how this, in turn, impacts the strength with which AI regulation protects fundamental rights.
