Hausfeld’s Scott Martin Appointed Vice Chair & Diversity Officer of the ABA Antitrust Law Section

Hausfeld Partner Scott Martin, Co-Chair of the firm’s U.S. Antitrust/Competition Practice Group, has been appointed Vice Chair & Diversity Officer of the American Bar Association (ABA) Antitrust Law Section for the 2025-2026 term. This marks the highest position ever achieved by a member of the plaintiffs' bar within the Section.

Based in New York, Scott’s transition to his new leadership role will take effect at the beginning of the Section programming year in summer 2025.

“I very much look forward to continuing to contribute to the vibrant dialogue and broad spectrum of views, including those of private enforcers of our competition laws, that is represented in the Antitrust Law Section’s membership, both in the United States and globally,” said Scott.  “This is an exciting time both to practice as an antitrust litigator and to see the development of our next generation of competition scholars and advocates.”

Scott has been an active leader within the ABA Antitrust Law Section, currently completing a term as International Officer and previously having served as Programs Officer, Antitrust Law Section Delegate to the ABA House of Delegates, Secretary & Communications Officer, Council Member, Chair of multiple committees (including Trial Practice and Civil RICO), as well as having chaired the Global Private Litigation Conference and serving on the Editorial Board Member of Antitrust Law Developments.

His extensive contributions reflect both his deep commitment to the antitrust bar and his active role in shaping legal discourse on competition and consumer protection issues.

The firm is proud to stand alongside other industry leaders, contributing to scholarly works, policy discussions, and leadership roles that drive the future of antitrust enforcement.
