Tim Kelly recognized by The Legal Intelligencer as a “Lawyer on the Fast Track” Award Winner for 2024
The Legal Intelligencer has announced the 2024 Pennsylvania Legal Awards winners and finalists, and Hausfeld Associate Tim Kelly has been named as a winner in the “Lawyers on the Fast Track” category. Open to Pennsylvania and Delaware lawyers under the age of 40, each year these awards celebrate the outstanding achievements by those who have left an indelible mark on their legal community through their unwavering dedication to the profession. Tim joins a group of next generation legal leaders selected as finalists for their demonstrated track record for hammering out deals or for successfully litigating cases.
Tim is an associate in Hausfeld’s Philadelphia office with a practice focusing on complex environmental and product liability litigation. He currently spends most of his time representing public entities (including state governments, and the largest groundwater-only water supplier in the United States) as plaintiffs against manufacturers and distributors of products containing toxic chemicals (like PFAS and 1,4-dioxane) that have contaminated drinking water and other natural resources. He also does complex antitrust and consumer protection litigation. The cases he works on are innovative and strategically selected to challenge the status quo, push the law forward, and pursue social and environmental justice.
Tim also works hard to make an impact locally, such as through his successful pro bono representation of low-income minority Philadelphians in an environmental justice case, and his pro bono work for many recently incarcerated persons through the Eastern District of Pennsylvania’s Reentry program. Tim’s other pro bono work has included successfully litigating a high-impact disability rights class action in Chicago, and successfully representing a political prisoner of Tajikistan in a human rights dispute before the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention.
The winners in finalist categories, including Lawyers on the Fast Track, will be celebrated at an awards dinner set for May 15, 2024, at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel.
