Hausfeld Partner Megan E. Jones Recognized with 2025 Hollis Salzman Memorial Leadership Award

Hausfeld is delighted to share that Partner and Co-Chair of the Antitrust Practice Group, Megan E. Jones, has been selected as the 2025 recipient of the Hollis Salzman Memorial Leadership Award. Megan will be honored at the American Antitrust Institute’s (AAI) Awards Night on November 6, 2025, in Washington, D.C.

Established in 2021 by the American Antitrust Institute and the Committee to Support the Antitrust Laws (COSAL), the award honors the legacy of Hollis Salzman — one of the nation’s preeminent antitrust attorneys, a tireless advocate for women and diversity in the legal profession, and a devoted mentor. It recognizes leaders in the plaintiffs’ antitrust bar who exemplify the integrity, leadership, mentorship, and spirit of advocacy that defined Salzman’s groundbreaking career. Past honorees include Heidi M. Silton (2024), Judith Zahid (2023), Kellie Lerner (2022), and Lin Y. Chan (2021).

With more than two decades of experience litigating complex antitrust class actions, Megan focuses on protecting competition in U.S. markets, making sure businesses can flourish without price-fixing or other antitrust harms. She has played a central role in securing nearly $4 billion in recoveries for businesses harmed by anticompetitive conduct and is widely recognized as a skilled strategist and negotiator, consistently praised for her ability to build consensus, lead diverse multi-firm teams, and achieve groundbreaking results on behalf of clients.

“Megan is a titan of the antitrust bar and someone who colleagues describe as a force of nature,” said AAI President Randy Stutz. “She is known for creating effective multi-firm teams, developing litigation strategy with input from diverse perspectives, and exemplifying the highest standards of collegiality in every aspect of her work within the private enforcement community.”

Her leadership has extended beyond litigation victories. She has guided teams in some of the nation’s most consequential antitrust cases. She is also one of the few women in the plaintiffs’ bar recognized in The Legal 500 Hall of Fame for her sustained excellence. Based in the Bay Area, Megan plays a central role in shaping Hausfeld’s antitrust practice, while continuing to share her expertise through frequent speaking engagements and educational programs.

Beyond her litigation achievements, Megan has been a mentor and advocate for the next generation of antitrust attorneys, founding Women Antitrust Plaintiffs’ Attorneys (WAPA) to foster community, mentorship, and opportunity for women in the field. She has also held leadership roles in professional organizations including AAI, COSAL, and the American Bar Association, and has been instrumental in educational programs for the judiciary and bar.

“Like me, Megan was mentored directly by Hollis,” said Judith Zahid, the 2023 recipient of the Hollis Salzman Memorial Leadership Award. “In turn, Megan has gone to great lengths to mentor younger attorneys at her firm—gently encouraging them to be heard in court or learn the nuances of deposition strategy. She educates and guides all along the way, which I’ve witnessed firsthand in cases she has led.”

Hausfeld congratulates Megan on this well-deserved recognition and celebrates her commitment to excellence, mentorship, and advancing diversity within the antitrust community.
