UK Competition Litigation Conference

For a second year, NERA Economic Consulting, Monckton Chambers and Augusta co-hosted their UK Competition Litigation Conference, bringing together expert panellists to discuss 2020’s hottest key case developments, lessons learned, Brexit, dominance litigation, compensation and pass-on, and class certification battles at the Competition Appeal Tribunal.

Competition disputes specialist, Lesley Hannah of Hausfeld London, joined the ‘Lessons Learned in Strategic Case Management’ panel on 9th December, chaired by Simon Latham of Augusta. The panel, also comprising Euan Burrows, Ashurst; Kassie Smith QC, Monckton Chambers; Dr Alexandre Carbonnel, NERA and Laura Elizabeth John, Monckton Chambers, explored how effective, and proportionate processes are crucial to the improved performance of cases and the litigation regime as a whole, and how legal counsel manage funding, disclosure, expert evidence, and settlement.
