Legal Futures Civil Litigation Conference
This conference brought together leading judges and practitioners to debate how the face of litigation is evolving, particularly as a result of new technology. Can litigation data and analytics really tell you how a judge will rule on your case?
This event aimed to be different, focusing on dynamic, thought-provoking debate as well as practical advice on the key issues for litigators. Mr Justice Birss delivered the keynote speech and panel discussions included HM Courts and Tribunals Service, a senior costs judge, practitioners and providers at the forefront of the new world of litigation data and analytics promise to deliver food for thought. To round off the day, a panel including known commentators Professor Dominic Regan and Kerry Underwood looked at the future of litigation.
In the morning, Lucy Pert was part of the panel debating whether "Robots can help you win your case". She provided the practitioner’s viewpoint on the impact this technology, artificial intelligence and machine learning claims to have on litigation.
