2025 Antitrust in the Americas

On May 20, Hausfeld Partner and Co-Chair of the US Antitrust practice, Scott Martin, will be speaking at the American Bar Association Antitrust Section’s “Antitrust in the Americas” conference in Cartagena, Colombia.

Scott will moderate the “Enforcers’ Roundtable” panel featuring Viviana Blanco Barboza of Costa Rica’s COPROCOM, Alexandre Cordeiro Macedo of Brazil’s CADE, Maria Fernanda Navas Herrera of Colombia’s SIC, Francisco Valerio of Mexico’s COFECE, and Lucas Trevisani Vespa of Argentina’s CNDC, speaking on competition developments, reforms, and trends in their respective jurisdictions.

This seventh Antitrust in the Americas conference brings together government enforcers, corporate counsel, and leading practitioners. Held at the Sofitel Legend Santa Clara Hotel, the event will feature panels on key enforcement trends, including cartel investigations, leniency programs, merger control, and abuse of dominance. Discussions will also cover the intersection of artificial intelligence, privacy, and competition, as well as the impact of sustainability initiatives on competition law. The conference offers a unique opportunity to engage with the officials and experts shaping antitrust policy across the region.
