Global Competition Review 100 2024 has recognised Hausfeld as the only elite firm at the EU Claimant Bar for several consecutive years. Hausfeld have “recently filed a claim in the Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) on behalf of UK publishers of websites and apps against Google alleging that it has broken UK competition law in the online display advertising market. Hausfeld also represents consumer rights advocate Julie Hunter as proposed class representative in a £900 million claim against Amazon for allegedly steering consumers towards offers favouring Amazon’s own business, while obscuring potentially better deals from third-party sellers.”
In Germany, they have “been progressing claims totalling some €2 billion against members of the trucks cartel and separate actions against German banking associations and individual banks that unlawfully charged excessive merchant fees for electronic cash payments.”
In The Netherlands, “Hausfeld are representing the largest group of truck purchasers in Europe harmed by the trucks cartel in waves of litigation before the Amsterdam District Court.”
