GCR further highlighted our ability to secure large settlements for our clients and to lead litigation that shapes the legal landscape. Commenting on our case highlights:
“Recent highlights include winning approval for a $2.7 billion settlement on behalf of employers and individuals claiming Blue Cross Blue Shield entities illegally agreed not to compete with each other. On top of being the largest-ever antitrust settlement based on standalone allegations, the agreement also secures injunctive relief. The firm also won $85 million to settle allegations that major producers of farm-raised salmon fixed prices. Furthermore, the firm reached a $90 million settlement on behalf of app developers that claimed Google’s 30% commission on Play Store purchases was anticompetitive. Hausfeld continues to act for a class of DirecTV purchasers in the In re: NFL Sunday Ticket Antitrust Litigation. In February 2023, the group won certification of two classes seeking damages over alleged overcharges for game broadcasts.”
