Hausfeld's Scott Martin named Chair-Elect of the ABA Antitrust Law Section

Hausfeld Partner Scott Martin, Co-Chair of the firm's US Antitrust Practice Group, has been named Chair-Elect of the American Bar Association (ABA) Antitrust Law Section for the 2026-2027 term — the highest position a member of the plaintiffs' bar has held in the Section’s 74-year history. Scott will assume the role of Chair of the 13,000-member Section in August 2027.

"It's an honor to be able to contribute to the vibrant debate and work of the Section," said Scott. "I look forward to continuing to help engage members of the antitrust bar, government enforcers, and academics -- and the private enforcement community in particular -- in issues to advance competition and protect consumer welfare."

Scott has been an active member and leader within the ABA Antitrust Law Section for over 20 years, having served as Programs Officer, International Officer, Secretary, and Section Delegate, as well as a member of its governing Council, and Chair of its Trial Practice and Civil RICO Committees, among other roles. Scott also was instrumental in founding the Section’s Global Private Litigation Conference and Trial Skills Academy, and was previously a member of the Editorial Board of Antitrust Law Developments.

Scott is the founding partner of Hausfeld's New York office and has more than 30 years of antitrust litigation experience across various industries, including jury and bench trials from both the plaintiff and defense sides. He is also a trusted counselor who has negotiated resolutions of countless regulatory investigations and disputes. Scott is the co-editor of the multi-volume Antitrust Adviser treatise and is consistently recognized as one of the leading antitrust litigators in New York and the country by every major ranking organization.
