Stella Gartagani
OVERVIEW
Expertise
Stella is an experienced competition litigator who advises on EU and UK competition law and represents clients in damages claims both in relation to abuse of dominance and cartels. She has acted in cases before the High Court, Competition Appeal Tribunal, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, and at European level, the General Court and Court of Justice. Stella also has extensive expertise in collective actions in the UK. Stella is dual-qualified in England and Greece and combines in-depth knowledge of European and English law and procedure with practical experience in securing the best outcomes for her clients.
Previously, Stella worked as legal assistant to Judge Dimitrios Gratsias at the General Court of the European Union in Luxembourg. She has also worked for a Belgian law firm specialising in finance, corporate and commercial law and prior to that, in Athens focusing on commercial matters.

Since joining Hausfeld in October 2011, Stella has acted for claimants across a wide range of sectors and industries – including SMEs, household names, and market-leading companies – in some of the most high-profile damages claims, including Air Cargo, PU Foam, Carbon & Graphite Products, FX, Occupant Safety Systems and Google Shopping, as well as the FX collective proceedings brought by Mr Evans and the collective action brough by Nikki Stopford against Google for abuse of dominance in search.
