The Sedona Conference’s Discoverability and Admissibility of GenAI Data
On September 16, 2025, Hausfeld Partner Nathaniel C. Giddings will join The Sedona Conference’s WG1 webinar on the discoverability and admissibility of GenAI Data.
This 60-minute webinar will examine the developing challenges posed by GenAI Data, focusing on its discoverability and admissibility in litigation and investigations. Panelists will also consider the privacy and privilege concerns that may emerge as courts and practitioners adapt to these novel issues.
The rapid adoption of generative AI (GenAI) tools, including Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and ChatGPT, has introduced an entirely new category of data into the workplace. At the same time, legal teams are incorporating GenAI into document review processes, such as responsiveness and privilege determinations, which themselves produce GenAI Data and raise further evidentiary considerations.
