American Water Works Association Annual Conference and Exposition
On June 24, partner Katie R. Beran will speak on the panel "Utilizing Lessons from PFAS to Prepare for What's Next" at the American Water Works Association's 2026 Annual Conference & Exposition (ACE26) in Washington, D.C.
As water providers continue navigating PFAS compliance, the panel will look ahead to the contaminants likely to follow, and how the hard-won experience of the past several years can guide preparation today. Through an interactive Q&A format, panelists will examine what regulated entities have learned about regulatory timelines, treatment and engineering decisions, community response, and securing funding, along with practical takeaways for boards and local governments. The discussion will also cover the latest litigation and regulatory developments surrounding PFAS and other emerging contaminants.
ACE26 takes place June 21–24, 2026, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., bringing together thousands of water professionals from utilities, government, consulting firms, academia, and manufacturers worldwide. This year's program features more than 200 educational sessions and a 450-booth exposition, with attendees expected from more than 90 countries.
