The Legal 500 US (2019) ranks Hausfeld as first tier in 'Antitrust' for a 10th consecutive year

For an uninterrupted 10th year, the Legal 500 United States 2019 ranks Hausfeld as a tier 1 firm in its Antitrust - Civil Litigation/Class Actions: Plaintiff category. It describes Hausfeld as “a ‘leading firm for antitrust damages in Europe and the US' which fields 'pragmatic, smart and focused' litigation experts” and highlights no fewer than 12 lawyers, recognizing the overall strength and depth of the practice across the United States.

Writing about Hausfeld’s track record and lawyers, the Legal 500 highlights: “In Washington DC, Michael Hausfeld, Hilary Scherrer and the 'friendly, engaging and spot-on' Scott Martin are currently serving as co-lead counsel to a certified class in its claim against some of the world's leading banks and their alleged conspiracy to manipulate Libor to sell artificially low interest rates to purchasers of Libor-based financial instruments.

In other highlights, Washington DC-based Sathya Gosselin and New York's senior counsel Irving Scher filed an antitrust claim against Landmark Theatres on behalf of four independent film organizations, and the group successfully concluded its landmark litigation against the NCAA on behalf of college athletes claiming the NCAA's rules for compensation were unlawful.

The main names to note in San Francisco are Michael Lehmann, Christopher Lebsock and Bonny Sweeney. Reena Gambhir, Melinda Coolidge and Brian Ratner are other key contacts in Washington DC.”
