GCR Live: Competition Litigation 2023
On 5 October 2023, Global Competition Review hosts its annual Competition Litigation conference, jointly chaired by Hausfeld Partner Nicola Boyle and Nicholas Heaton of Hogan Lovells. Additionally, Hausfeld’s Global Co-Chair Anthony Maton will speak at the event.
The conference will take a deep dive into recent developments in UK competition litigation and discuss post-Brexit developments, areas of innovation at the CAT - including umbrella proceedings orders and expert evidence as well as perceptions, methodologies, and lessons learned from the Tribunal’s recent Trucks ruling.
Anthony Maton will speak alongside, Kim Dietzel from Herbert Smith Freehills, Sarah Houghton from Mishcon de Reya and Richard Murgatroyd from RBB Economics on ‘Collective actions – blueprints, opt-out versus opt-in and case management’ from 10.00 am to 11.15 am.
The panel will take a closer look at:
- the requirement for a blueprint
- how will having a blueprint impact on preparation for trial after certification
- claim viability: opt-in versus opt-out
- competing claims: when and how to determine carriage.
