CompLaw: Private Enforcement
On 8 February 2024, Hausfeld Partner, Aqeel Kadri moderated an expert panel to discuss ‘DMA, DSA & Digital Markets: The Future of Private Enforcement’ at the Informaconnect CompLaw: Private Enforcement conference.
Aqeel was joined by Zsuzsa Cserhalmi, from, European Commission; Sophie Gappa, from Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and Agustin Reyna from BEUC.
The panel explored:
- DMA, DSA and other digital markets regulations: what is the scope for private enforcement
- UK’s and EU approach to digital markets: will it lead to divergence in private enforcement
- Implications of Germany’s Competition Enforcement Act for private enforcement
- Which cases are permissible under competition law? Are data protection, consumer protection and copyright cases being disguised as competition law.
