AIJA 10th Annual Antitrust Conference
From 27 to 29 April, the 1st AIJA Annual Healthcare Conference and the 10th Annual Antitrust Conference in Budapest ran alongside with intermittent sessions discussing crossing points between science and law, key developments and issues in antitrust and the healthcare sector.
The Antitrust Commission members exchanged views on:
- Market definition
- (Abuse of) dominance
- Cartel damages and private enforcement issues
- Foreign direct investment screening and merger control
- Cooperation between competitors.
On the morning of 29 April, Hausfeld Counsel, Amandine Gueret, discussed trends and developments around Europe in cartel damages claims, with Andras M. Horvath, Baker McKenzie; Borja Chastang, MLAB Abogados; Lorenz Jarass, Noerr and Lumine van Uden, Houthoff. The panel was moderated by Viktor Jéger, Nagy és Trócsányi.
In addition, the Healthcare Commission provided niche content on a variety of topics ranging from clinical trails, medical apps, patient support programmes to product liability.
