Refund of German truck tolls

In October 2020, the European Court of Justice ruled that the amount of the German HGV toll violates European law.

According to this ruling, the Federal Republic of Germany included the costs for traffic police in the calculation of the toll, although this is not permitted under European law. Rather, only the costs for infrastructure should have been included in the calculation of the toll.

Hausfeld, in cooperation with the litigation financier eClaim, is asserting the claims of more than 15,000 toll payers for reimbursement of the overpaid toll.
