Wholesalers' Pesticide Cartel

The Federal Cartel Office has found that at least nine plant protection product wholesalers formed a cartel between 1998 and March 2015 and illegally agreed on price lists, discounts and individual prices of plant protection products.

It imposed fines of around €157 million on the wholesalers.

Aggrieved parties are entitled to compensation for the damages they suffered as a result of purchasing crop protection products at cartel prices. Hausfeld represents, among others, the legal services provider agrarClaim in the enforcement of claims for damages that the latter acquires from injured farmers.
