Competition Litigation Conference

This full day conference focused on the ever-evolving competition damages regimes and the emergence of antitrust class actions within Europe.

The annual event, hosted by MLex, Freshfields and Brick Court Chambers, reviewed the developments in antitrust litigation of the past year as well as trends in antitrust policy and their implications for enforcement and litigation.

London Partner Anna Morfey joined the expert panel discussing ‘Collectives, Group and Multi-jurisdictional Claims.’ Anna led the Hausfeld team which, on behalf of millions of rail passengers, filed a claim as co-counsel together with Charles Lyndon, in the Competition Appeal Tribunal against the operators of the South Western and Southeastern rail franchises. With the ‘Trains’ claim the first standalone collective action to be filed in the UK, her expertise offered food for thought.

With technology, online and digital claims having become more prominent in the competition law industry and cases increasing significantly in recent years, the programme would not be complete without devoting time on this fast developing trend.
