Legal 500 UK 2026 recognises 24 Hausfeld lawyers across 7 practice areas

In its 2026 UK rankings, Legal 500 recognises our expertise across 7 different practice areas. Our lawyers received a total of 46 accolades with our partner as well as counsel and associate groups receiving outstanding recommendations. It is not just our legal nous which was commended, as research highlighted that we are ‘also a pleasure to work with, attract bright, friendly people and seem to have a great team culture’.

The way we bring and manage legal disputes is commended in the areas of Competition Litigation, Group Litigation, Banking Litigation, Commercial Litigation - Premium, International Arbitration, Civil Liberties & Human Rights and Environment.

Regarded as ‘the leading claimant firm practicing in competition litigation’ with ‘incomparable experience in this area’, we continue to hold our undisputed position as a Tier 1 firm: "Hausfeld are THE competition litigation team - you have to have a good reason not to use them rather than to use them!"

For Group Litigation, Hausfeld is also ranked at the very top: "Hausfeld delivered in our follow-on group litigation with precision, coordination, and unwavering strategic focus. Their ability to manage a complex, multi-claimant, multi-defendant case with agility and effectiveness was extraordinary. Communication was seamless, risks were clearly explained, and we felt in control at every stage."

The Commercial Dispute Resolution team remains in Tier 4 and was described as "the Champions League of commercial disputes specialists…” and is never afraid to take on the combined firepower of 'magic circle' opponents. They are the team that a client wants fighting for it in the biggest and most complex cases, against massively well-resourced defendants." while "Gutsy, determined, and will leave no stone unturned in getting the best result possible for their clients...”  For banking matters, our ‘formidable reputation in banking litigation, particularly in matters involving complex investment and retail disputes’, ‘coupled with a deep understanding of financial markets and products’ was singled out.

The International arbitration team climbed the rankings to Tier 5 as it "… offers a winning combination of talented solutions-based lawyers..." In addition, our Head of Knowledge Rebecca Warder was recognised for her expertise in this practice area.

The Civil Liberties and Human Rights practice continues to do great work, while our Environment practice “stands out for its combination of legal expertise, strategic thinking, and genuine commitment to advancing climate justice through litigation and ‘… a deep understanding of both the legal complexities and the broader societal implications of climate and environmental harms’ is highlighted as a strength.

Many congratulations to the team and a special thank you to all our clients and referees for the time they took to partake in the research.
