The Specialist Lenders’ Forum on Private Credit Finance

The size of the specialty or non-bank lending market has been transformed over the last decade. Currently estimated to be around $8 trillion and forecasted to grow by at least 50% over the next five years, it makes for an interesting investment opportunity.

During the Specialist Lenders’ Forum on 17 November, legal and financial experts will look at the key factors which contribute to this sector providing key financing for businesses and individuals on one hand and being an attractive investment opportunity for institutional buyers on the other. Some of the topics they will discuss:

  • The funding environment: challenges and opportunities
  • Inflationary pressures and post Covid impact on specialty lender platforms
  • Potential regulatory considerations and impact of policy makers
  • The role of ESG
  • Segment focus: warehouse financing, SME finance, residential mortgage finance

At 4.15pm Lucy Pert and her panel of experts will look at the evolution of litigation finance and share their market outlook on this asset class as well as potential conflicts of interest between litigation funding platforms and institutional investors lending to the platform. Previously, Investment Director at a global litigation funder, Lucy is well placed to share her insights on the topic.
