Amanda Lee-Dasgupta
OVERVIEW
Amanda has spent her entire academic and professional life pursuing a passion for advocacy as a check on powerful institutions, knowing that those without resources are those most vulnerable to exploitation. Ms. Lee-DasGupta has brought this dedication to the firm’s complex tort, environmental, and human rights practices. Her tireless work on behalf of plaintiffs was recognized in 2022, when she was named a Rising Star of the Plaintiff’s Bar by the National Law Journal.
Clients
Amanda’s clients include individuals and entities harmed by corporate actors. In a groundbreaking human rights case, Amanda and the Hausfeld team represent a putative class of Sudanese Americans against a bank that violated U.S. sanctions by serving as Sudan’s banker and enabling the Sudanese government to commit acts of genocide upon its own people.
Amanda represents public entities against corporate polluters in her environmental work, bringing claims for water contamination and natural resource damages liability. In her mass tort practice, Amanda works on behalf of individuals injured by pharmaceuticals and medical devices. She currently serves on the Law and Briefing Committee for In Re: Philips Recalled CPAP, Bi-Level Pap, and Mechanical Ventilator Products Litigation.
