Madrid Competition Litigation Seminar 2026

The Madrid Competition Litigation Seminar offers a unique opportunity for an in-depth dialogue between practitioners, judges, regulatory officials, academics and other experts from around Spain and the EU about the private enforcement of competition law.

The programme is designed to take stock of the current state of the law and practice, evaluate national procedural developments within the framework of EU law and analyse the most relevant current and future cases in this area.

Hausfeld Competition Partner, Belinda Hollway, joins the panel 'How can damages be effectively distributed in competition litigation and do current models truly deliver for claimants?'.

The discussion will address:

  • Distribution mechanisms and their effectiveness, with particular reference to settlement scenarios.
  • Whether current models ensure effective compensation for victims, as well as adequate recovery of funding and litigation costs.
  • The role of judicial control in overseeing distribution processes.
