OVERVIEW

Dr. Maria Pustlauk is an associate at Hausfeld in Düsseldorf, where she focuses on European and German antitrust law and antitrust damages proceedings.

She represents plaintiffs in national and international court proceedings. Among others, she advises transport companies in cartel damages claims against the truck cartel as well as in proceedings for the reimbursement of toll against the Federal Office for Goods Transport (Bundesamt für Güterkraftverkehr, BAG).

After her studies at the Humboldt University of Berlin, she obtained an LL.M. in the field of economic analysis of law with stations at universities in the USA, Italy and France and a doctorate in Energy Antitrust Law at the Humboldt University of Berlin. As a research associate at the Institute for Energy and Competition Law in the Municipal Economy (EWeRK), Maria Pustlauk gained experience in energy, business and antitrust law and published articles on current developments in energy and antitrust law.

During her legal training, she worked for many years at Hausfeld in Berlin, as well as in the antitrust law department of a leading European trading company. While working, she completed her studies in economics at the Fern-Universität in Hagen.

She is fluent in German, English and French.
