Antitrust/Competition

• In re Domestic Airline Travel Antitrust Litigation - Alleging major airlines conspired to reduce capacity to artificially inflate the price of domestic air travel.  
• In re American Express Anti-Steering Rules Antitrust Litigation - Hausfeld represents a class of merchant plaintiffs alleging that American Express’ Anti-Steering Rules, unreasonably restrain interbrand price competition among credit and charge card networks thereby affecting the two-sided market. 
• In re Chicago Board Options Exchange Volatility Index Manipulation Antitrust Litigation – A multidistrict litigation class action lawsuit consolidated in the Northern District of Illinois alleging manipulation of the CBOE Volatility Index (“VIX”), known as the U.S. stock market’s “fear gauge.” 
• In re Manufactured Home Lot Rents Antitrust Litigation – Hausfeld is co-lead counsel in an antitrust case filed on behalf of a putative nationwide class of manufactured home residents against nine community management companies and a market data provider, Datacomp Appraisal Systems Inc. The Plaintiffs allege that the Defendants conspired to exchange competitively sensitive information and fixed the price of rents at manufactured home lots across the country from at least 2019 through the present. 

Environmental & Product Liability

• Suffolk County Water Authority v. The Dow Chemical Company et al. and Suffolk County Water Authority v. The 3M Company et al. – Kenya is the paralegal for these two case teams. The cases were filed on behalf of the largest public water supplier in the country against the manufacturers and distributors of products containing toxic chemicals for contamination of the local public drinking water.

Technology & Data Breach

• In re Equifax, Inc., Customer Data Security Breach Litigation - Hausfeld was appointed to serve on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee representing consumer plaintiffs where over 145 million Americans were impacted by one of the largest data breaches in history.
