Colum is an Associate with experience across competition and commercial disputes.
Expertise
Colum joined Hausfeld as a Paralegal in 2021 and was promoted to Associate in 2024. During his training, Colum undertook a secondment at Which? where he gained in-house experience, focusing on commercial contracts, data protection, and intellectual property matters.
At Hausfeld he is part of the team acting on some of the firm’s most prominent cases, namely against Apple and Amazon on behalf of millions of UK consumers and in the Trucks cartel litigation on behalf of numerous English and international clients. He also has wide-ranging experience in various commercial matters, ranging from professional negligence to financial disputes.

Pro Bono Recognition List
In 2025 and 2026, Colum was recognised as part of the Pro Bono Recognition List, published annually, which celebrates solicitors and barristers who have dedicated 25 or more hours of pro bono legal assistance in the previous calendar year. The list is under the patronage of The Lady Chief Justice of England & Wales and is supported by The Law Society, Bar Council and all major pro bono legal organisations.
Experience
Antitrust/Competition
Colum is currently part of the team:
- Acting for JLP A&A Class Representative Limited in a collective action against Apple and Amazon on behalf of millions of UK consumers who purchased Apple products. The claim seeks approximately £900 million in damages for consumers alleged to have paid higher prices as a result of an agreement under which Amazon restricted sales of Apple products by independent merchants on its marketplace.
Colum has also been part of the competition disputes teams:
- Bringing claims on behalf of several large logistics, consumer goods, and haulier companies against the renowned Trucks cartel.
- Acting for the proposed class representative, consumer advocate Julie Hunter, in collective proceedings filed against Amazon.com, Inc. and others, seeking damages
Commercial & Financial Disputes
Colum also has commercial disputes experience including acting for:
- The entrepreneur founder and seller of a healthcare business, defending post-acquisition warranty and indemnity claims in the High Court brought by the private equity buyer and claiming substantial pre-action recoveries in multiple negligence claims against each of the seller’s former accountants, lawyers and financial advisers.
- A defendant in a claim by a manufacturing company and its owner-director for conspiracy to cause reputational and economic harm.
- A pharmaceuticals company in relation to a worldwide freezing order in support of substantive Ukrainian derivative proceedings.
- An educational institution in relation to a debt repayment dispute.
Environmental & Product Liability
Colum has experience:
- Advising global NGOs in relation to commercial and financial services litigation caused by climate change.
Human Rights
Colum has acted for:
- The CEO of a disability aviation charity, in relation to a disability discrimination claim against Carnival PLC t/a Cunard.
