Pierre is a disputes lawyer with a focus on competition and commercial law.

Expertise

Pierre joined Hausfeld with extensive experience in competition law, collective action litigation and commercial litigation.

Pierre trained and qualified at Watson Farley & Williams, where he gained experience in commercial and finance related disputes. He later joined the competition litigation team at Harcus Parker, where he worked on competition collective proceedings before the Competition Appeal Tribunal as well as high value commercial disputes in the High Court.

Experience

Antitrust/Competition

Before Hausfeld, Pierre was part of the legal team:

  • Acting on a substantial breach of competition warranty claim before the Commercial Court.
  • Advising on merger control issues and preparing merger notifications for a number of different projects, including the acquisition of a wind farm project in Germany and the acquisition of a cruise line.

At Hausfeld, Pierre continues to work on interchange litigation matters, including acting for a client that is involved in the Merchant Interchange Fee Umbrella Proceedings. Pierre also assists on the FX collective proceedings, brought by Mr Phillip Evans on behalf of individuals and businesses that have incurred damages relating to FX spot and outright forward transactions.

 

Commercial & Financial Disputes

Before Hausfeld, Pierre was part of the legal team:

  • Acting for a Swiss-based client with operations in Nigeria on an internal bribery investigation.
  • Acting for a shipping company in an international arbitration on a dispute concerning a breach of a ship building contract.
  • Acting for a cruise company in a dispute with a shipyard over damages to a vessel following the collapse of a floating dry dock.
