Commercial & Financial Disputes

Dexter is a member of the team working on FX Claim UK, a proposed collective action in respect of FX spot trading cartels. His experience also includes working on claims arising from: the mis-selling of complex financial products, LIBOR manipulation, the alleged breach of an insurance contract and company matters.

These include the following:

  • ProPharma Group MIS Holdings Limited v Certain Underwriting Members of Lloyds Syndicates (1-7)
  • Ventra Investments Limited (in creditors’ voluntary liquidation) v Bank of Scotland plc 
  • Arthur Holgate & Sons Limited (in creditors’ voluntary liquidation) v Barclays Bank plc
  • Wingate Limited v Lloyds Bank plc
  • Guardian Care Homes (West) - Kevin Hellard v Gary Hartland, Karen Hartland and Graiseley Investments Limited
  • Kexgill (Nottingham) Limited and another v Barclays Bank plc

Antitrust/Competition

Dexter is currently part of the team representing Foundem in its claim before the High Court against Google, for abuse of its dominant position in respect of its conduct in comparison shopping.

During his training contract, Dexter assisted with competition disputes relating to cartels in the markets for trucks and Spanish milk.
