Divya Goel is an associate in Hausfeld's Washington, DC office, where she supports litigation teams in antitrust and data privacy matters. Divya brings a technical foundation in computer science and economics to her practice, along with experience in competition policy at the U.S. Senate, antitrust litigation at the U.S. Department of Justice, and consumer protection at the District of Columbia Office of the Attorney General.
Before law school, Divya served as a Legislative Fellow for Senator Amy Klobuchar on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, where she advised on technology and competition policy, prepared materials for more than 20 hearings, and helped draft bipartisan legislation. Earlier, she worked as an analyst at an economic consulting firm, evaluating damages and market impacts in antitrust and other complex litigation.
During law school, Divya clerked with the Civil Conduct Task Force of the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division and was a summer associate in the Public Advocacy Division of the District of Columbia Office of the Attorney General, where she assisted with antitrust and consumer protection investigations and developed a health privacy investigation proposal. She was also selected as one of eight Georgetown Law students for the Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection (ICAP) practicum, and she joined Hausfeld as a summer associate in 2025 before returning to the firm as an associate.
Divya serves on the Board of Directors of Public Justice, a nonprofit legal organization that pursues impact litigation in support of civil rights, consumer protection, environmental justice, and corporate accountability and has won lasting legal precedents on a number of issues, including U.S. Supreme Court victories on behalf of workers and consumers. She is committed to expanding access to plaintiff-side legal careers: she co-founded the Plaintiffs' Law Association at Georgetown Law and served as co-president of the National Plaintiffs' Law Association, where she helped grow its virtual job fair to more than 800 attendees. Divya is also a nonpartisan voter protection volunteer and has staffed voter information hotlines in Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu.
