Experience

Antitrust/Competition

At Hausfeld, Myrto has been part of the following legal teams:

  • Filing a representative collective action with the CAT on behalf of the Consumers’ Association (known as Which?) against Qualcomm on behalf of a class of around 29 million UK consumers alleging that Qualcomm abuses its dominance in the markets for smartphone chipsets and standard essential patents, the result of which is that Qualcomm is able to overcharge smartphone manufacturers like Apple and Samsung for its technology. Damages are estimated to be over £480 million.
  • Representing consumer champion and certified class representative Nikki Stopford in the £7 billion Google Search claim which is challenging Google’s agreements to preserve default status in mobile search. This alleged exclusionary behaviour results in shutting out competition and raised prices for UK consumers across the economy.
  • Working with car manufacturers on recovering damages as the result of the Occupant Safety Systems cartel.

Commercial & Financial Disputes

Myrto has had experience advising and representing clients in a range of commercial disputes.

Pro Bono
