Abigail is an Associate with experience in commercial, environmental, and competition law litigation.
Expertise
Abigail joined Hausfeld’s Paralegal Programme in 2021 and was promoted to Associate in September 2024.
At Hausfeld she is part of the team acting on some of the firm’s most prominent competition cases, including the £480 million opt-out representative action against Qualcomm and Power Cables cartel. She also has experience in various stages of commercial litigation, including successful mediation and settlement negotiations.
During her training, Abigail undertook a secondment at Which? where she gained in-house experience, focusing on commercial contracts, data protection, and intellectual property matters.

Experience
Antitrust/Competition
- Assisting on a representative collective action with the CAT on behalf of the Consumers’ Association (known as Which?) against Qualcomm on behalf of a class of around 29 million UK consumers alleging that Qualcomm abuses its dominance in the markets for smartphone chipsets and standard essential patents, the result of which is that Qualcomm is able to overcharge smartphone manufacturers like Apple and Samsung for its technology. Damages are estimated to be over £480 million.
- Competition damages claims following on from the European Commission Decision in relation to the Power Cables cartel.
- Assisted on the pre-action stage of a collective claim against Google arguing that the business has used its search engine dominance to shut out competition in mobile search.
Commercial & Financial Disputes
- A substantial travel IP claim against against American Express Europe LLC and GBT UK Ltd, American Express’ Global Travel Division, representing Spanish and Panamanian companies Trappit SA and Trappit Tecnologias SL.
Arbitration
- Acted for a large aeronautical manufacturer in several LCIA arbitrations seated in London.
Environmental & Product Liability
- Acted for a group of farmers from the Copper Belt region of Zambia in pollution claims against UK-based mining company Vedanta Resources Limited and its Zambian subsidiary.
- Explored the possibility of a legal action against the Government on behalf of people whose health has been adversely impacted by air pollution, seeking compensation for the harm suffered, with ClientEarth.
- Represented gymnasts alleging abusive practices and culture within British Gymnastics and various gymnastic clubs across the UK.
